About Hearst Castle

William Randolph HearstHearst Castle opened to the public as a California State Park in 1958, but before that it was the home of publisher, movie producer, and art collector William Randolph Hearst (1863–1951). Millions have visited his hilltop San Simeon estate to explore the architecture, art, and gardens of “The Enchanted Hill,” and absorb the stories that accompany them.

Hearst Castle Press provides readers the opportunity to take a close, leisurely look at the unique world Hearst and architect Julia Morgan created high above the Pacific.
